Terms of Service

1. What Jukung is

Jukung is a noticeboard. Surfers post the boat trips they’re already taking in Gerupuk Bay so others heading to the same break can find them. That’s all it does. Jukung is not a booking service, a tour operator, a transport provider, or a payment processor, and it does not track seats or cost. Any real coordination — meeting spot, sharing a boat, splitting cost, and the trip itself — happens directly between you and other users, off-platform (e.g. on WhatsApp). Jukung is not a party to those arrangements.

2. Eligibility & your account

You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service. You sign in with Google; you’re responsible for your account and for keeping your information accurate. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• post false, misleading, or spam trips;
• harass, threaten, or harm other users;
• use the Service for anything illegal, or to collect others’ data for unrelated uses;
• attempt to disrupt, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service.

We may remove any trip and suspend or delete any account, at our discretion.

4. Assumption of risk

Surfing, boat travel, and meeting people you’ve connected with online all carry inherent risks. Jukung does not verify users, vet boat operators, or supervise any meeting or trip. You are solely responsible for your own safety and decisions, including who you choose to meet, which boats you board, and what you agree to. Use your own judgment and take normal precautions.

5. No warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee that trips are accurate, that anyone will show up, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the tide information shown is exact (it is a forecast).

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jukung is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss or harm arising from your use of the Service, your interactions or arrangements with other users, or any trip, meeting, or boat. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the trips you post, but you grant Jukung permission to display them within the Service so other users can find them. You can delete your trips, or your whole account, at any time from your profile.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make material changes we’ll update the effective date and may ask you to accept again. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the current terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts for any dispute arising from them.
